The Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival Knysna

The ‘Pink Loerie’ as the ‘Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival Knysna’ is locally known, is now in its 16th year.  The event will take place from April 27 – May 1, 2016, with a variety of events taking place at different venues in the gay friendly town of Knysna, along the Garden Route, South Africa.

Various shows, drag competitions, or just social get-togethers, that is what this annual highlight on the gay and lesbian calendar is all about.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Parade through the Main Road of Knysna, traditionally taking place on the Saturday afternoon.

‘Young at heart, and never been kissed’ – is that going to stay like that?!
